Preparation and fixing

Preparation

The clinical preparation technique for dentures from VITA all-ceramics follows the superordinate principle of the dental preparation technique: As much as necessary, as little as possible.
Here you will find hints for the preparation of crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers including the appropriate preparation sets

Fixing

Due to the high strength you can choose between the following options when creating restorations using VITA In-Ceram frameworks:

  • Conventional cementation with zinc oxide phosphate cements
  • Conventional cementation with glass ionomer cements
  • Adhesive cementation (bonding).
Ceramic restorations made from VITABLOCS and VITA PM 9 using framework-free press technique are solely fixed by an established and properly applied enamel-dentine adhesive system.
Here you will find instructions for the conventional and adhesive cementation of all-ceramic restorations made from VITA In-Ceram oxide ceramics and fine-structure feldspar ceramics.
