Milling
VITA In-Ceram® milling technique
As for the three VITA In-Ceram slipping variants, the fabrication process for the milling variants of VITA In-Ceram SPINELL, ZIRCONIA and ALUMINA in the Sirona inLab is identical.
- Fix working model on the support
- Scan model
- Construct crown cap or bridge framework (reduced tooth shape) at the PC (CAD)
- Insert VITA In-Ceram block into milling unit
- Form milling in the inLab (CAM)
- Fitting of the framework
- Cleaning firing in the VITA VACUMAT
- Apply VITA In-Ceram GLASS POWDER
- Glass infiltration firing: SPINELL in the VITA VACUMAT, ALUMINA and ZIRCONIA either in the VITA INCERAMAT or in a traditional ceramic furnace, e.g. VITA VACUMAT
- Remove excess glass
- Glass control firing in the VITA VACUMAT
- Veneer finished framework with veneering ceramic VITA VM 7
Manufacturing process of a VITA In-Ceram YZ or VITA In-Ceram AL restoration using the FrameWork or WaxUp software:
- Produce master model
- Produce scan model or alternatively wax model
- Fix scan model on scan holder or alternatively fix wax model on special WaxUp holder
- Scan model
- Construct framework (CAD, FrameWork software only)
- Insert VITA In-Ceram YZ or AL block and scan bar code
- Form milling (CAM)
- Check the fit of the framework
- Remove dust from framework
- Cleaning firing and coloring (optional)
- Sintering
- Fitting of the framework
- Veneering (VITA In-Ceram YZ with VITA VM 9, VITA In-Ceram AL with VITA VM 7)
