Slip technique

VITA In-Ceram® slip technique

Today, restorations made from VITA In-Ceram represent an aesthetically superior, technically sophisticated and extremely versatile alternative to crown and bridge technique made from metal ceramics. It is the only all-ceramic material that offers manufacturing techniques adapted to the individual needs of the respective dental laboratory.
The technical steps are simple and easy to learn. Basically, the technical process of manufacturing a crown framework consists of the following steps:

  • Block out working model and apply interspace varnish.
  • Duplicate working model
  • Produce fire tray model, for bridges: glue firing tray model onto the support and saw
  • Mix and apply slip powder
  • Sintering firing in the VITA INCERAMAT, for ZIRCONIA: two sintering firings, the second one without plaster dies
  • Rework sintered framework and apply the appropriate GLASS POWDER
  • Glass infiltration firing in the VITA INCERAMAT
  • Remove/sandblast excess glass
  • Two glass control firings in the VITA VACUMAT
  • Veneer finished framework with the veneering ceramic VITA VM 7.
