VITABLOCS®

In addition to framework ceramics the framework-free variants of the VITABLOCS made from fine-structure feldspar ceramics provide the opportunity to mill the finished restoration out of a ceramics block using CAD/CAM techniques (Sirona CEREC, Sirona inLab, KaVo Everest). Subsequently the shades in this restoration can be customized with VITA Shading Paste or VITA Akzent.

VITABLOCS are available as Mark II, RealLife, TriLuxe, TriLuxe forte and TriLuxe forte for Rapid Layer Technology materials, the latter being exclusively used for the CEREC und inLab System.
Using the Sirona CEREC system, with VITABLOCS the dentist is able to prepare within one sitting the inlay, onlay, veneer or the all-ceramic crown chairside and to incorporate the finished restoration.

Processing of VITABLOCS®

By means of the CAD/CAM-System inlays, onlays, veneers and crowns can be milled from VITABLOCS and, if required, be customized; they can be finished chairside or indirectly (over a model) and be incorporated into the patient’s mouth adhesively.

VITABLOCS® Mark II:

The chameleon among the ceramics
The high translucency of the VITABLOCS Mark II ceramic in combination with the VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER ensures the perfect shade integration into the remaining tooth substance (known as chameleon effect)
With the VITA VM 9 ESTHETIC KIT, VITA SHADING PASTE or VITA AKZENT materials the shades in the restorations can additionally be customized and be made aesthetically perfect.

VITABLOCS® RealLife:

Innovative VITABLOCS RealLife were developed especially for highly aesthetic anterior restorations. The three-dimensional block structure with dentine core and enamel coating replicates natural tooth structure and features an arched colour gradient between dentine and enamel. VITABLOCS RealLife are made of VITABLOCS fine-structure feldspar ceramic, clinically proven a million times over.

VITABLOCS® TriLuxe:

Perfectly natural
By means of a special production technique VITA has succeeded in imitating the areas differing in color of the natural tooth (enamel, dentine and neck) in the ceramic block already. This means good news for dentists: You are now able to reproduce chairside the characteristic color gradient occurring with a natural tooth. The different layers in a block ensure the natural appearance of the restoration and make an individualization after milling unnecessary.

VITABLOCS® TriLuxe forte:

When nuances matter
With VITABLOCS TriLuxe forte the shade transition from the enamel to the neck is still smoother while at the same time the chroma in the neck area is accentuated. In combination with the growing fluorescence in the cervical area this provides for an impressing shade effect even with thin layers.
When using VITA AKZENT Glaze spray this is the fastest way that leads to a natural aesthetic appearance.

VITABLOCS® TriLuxe forte for Rapid Layer Technology:

Multilayer VITABLOCS TriLuxe forte are now available in a 40 mm x 19 mm size. This block geometry was specially developed for CAD/CAM veneering (VITA Rapid Layer Technology) of multi-unit bridge sub-structures. This technology enables both the framework (oxide ceramic) and veneer (fine-structure feldspar ceramic) to be fabricated in a digital manufacturing process. The harmoniously matched shade nuances of VITABLOCS TriLuxe forte guarantee a veneer structure with a natural colour gradient. With VITA Rapid Layer Technology, the framework and veneer component are adhesively bonded with composite.

Customization using the VITA VM 9 ESTHETIC KIT

The VITA VM 9 ESTHETIC KIT contains a selection of VITA VM 9 materials which are perfectly adapted to the customization of restorations made from VITABLOCS. As both the ceramic basis and the veneering ceramic have fine structures, restorations customized with VITA VM 9 exhibit excellent properties resembling to tooth enamel.
