VITA In-Ceram®

Different indications demand different solutions from materials used. Therefore VITA In-Ceram provides the appropriate material variant for every indication. In addition to the proven infiltration ceramics VITA In-Ceram SPINELL, ALUMINA and ZIRCONIA – all three are available as slip and CAD/CAM variant for inLab, infinident, CELAY, DCS and etkon –, from now on the high-performance ceramics VITA In-Ceram AL (Al2O3) and YZ (ZrO2) are available for the processing in the Sirona inLab.
In the aesthetically challenging anteriors area Al2O3 ceramic as VITA In-Ceram SPINELL, ALUMINA, ZIRCONIA and AL offer some benefits compared to the usual yttrium-stabilized ZrO2. Aluminum oxide has a greater translucency; 72% in comparison with 48% of zirconium oxide. Furthermore, the light refraction index of 1.8 instead of 2.2 with zirconium oxide comes closer to the natural tooth.

VITA In-Ceram® SPINELL

VITA In-Ceram SPINELL (MgAl2O4) has the highest translucency of all oxide ceramics and is perfectly suited for the fabrication of all-ceramic anterior frameworks. This applies particularly to vital tooth stumps and young patients.
Recommended for: Anterior frameworks

VITA In-Ceram® ALUMINA

VITA In-Ceram ALUMINA (Al2O3) offers the perfect synthesis of aesthetics and strength. This versatile material enables the fabrication of crown and anterior bridge frameworks up to three units.
Recommended for: Crown and anterior bridge frameworks up to three units

VITA In-Ceram® ZIRCONIA

VITA In-Ceram ZIRCONIA (Al2O3-ZrO2) is the oxide ceramic with the highest masking power. It is therefore ideal with highly discolored stumps. It combines the tear tenacity of ZrO2 with the high bending strength of Al2O3.
Recommended for: Crowns, three-unit bridge frameworks.

VITA In-Ceram® AL

VITA In-Ceram AL (Al2O3) impresses with its corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. The pre-sintered ceramic blocks are processed in the Sirona inLab and dense sintered in a special high-temperature furnace (VITA ZYrcomat) at above 1500°C.
After sintering the material is ivory-colored, corresponds to the natural tooth and can be milled in a dry state.
Recommended for: Extremely strong crown and anterior bridge frameworks with up to three units, primary components for the double-crown technique.

VITA In-Ceram® YZ

VITA In-Ceram YZ (Y-TZP) is the “diamond“ among dental ceramics. The industrially pre-sintered blocks/discs consist of yttrium-stabilized zirconium oxide. This results in an extraordinary high strength (clearly above 900 MPa) as well as a higher-than-average tear tenacity.
The frameworks will be ground in the CAD/CAM-System (whereby the size is automatically enlarged by approx. 25 %); subsequently they undergo a controlled during sintering in the high-temperature furnace VITA ZYrcomat. The result are highly stable and perfectly fitting restorations offering all physical advantages of zirconium oxide. When preserving the substance intricate frameworks can be constructed.
Recommended for: Highly stable, intricate crowns, multi-part bridge anterior and posterior frameworks.

VITA In-Ceram AL and YZ frameworks can be colored according to the five degrees of lightness of the VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER.

VITA In-Ceram® YZ - Now preshaded
VITA In-Ceram YZ color LL1p are industrially preshaded zirconium dioxide blocks for the CAD/CAM manufacture of crown and bridge frameworks. Their shading corresponds to that of the most popular Coloring Liquid shade LL1. Preshaded blocks offer numerous advantages: production time is shortened, since there is no need for subsequent shading with Coloring Liquid. This furthermore simplifies framework manufacture for laboratories unfamiliar with the use of Coloring Liquid. In addition to this, industrial preshading ensures homogeneous coloration throughout for a high standard of esthetics.
