Indications

Fillings

If a tooth is only partially damaged, e.g. by caries, usually a filling will suffice to restore the tooth. Dark-colored amalgam fillings are no longer necessary these days. Laboratory manufactured fillings from VITA all-ceramics cannot be distinguished from the natural tooth.

Veneers

Discolored anteriors, e.g. caused by ageing fillings, can perfectly be corrected by means of ceramic veneers.
A veneer serves for the cosmetic correction of anterior teeth. The veneer is bonded to the front tooth surface. All-ceramic veneers visually appear as natural as the neighboring teeth.

Crowns

By means of a ceramic-veneered metal crown your dentist completely restores the tooth. After a long wearing period dark crown margins might be visible.
All-ceramic crowns can visually not be distinguished from natural teeth.

Bridges

If tooth gaps have to be closed, this can be done via a crown. Two teeth act as a pillar and support the bridge.
Alternatively, this is also possible without the use of alloys. Due to its high strength, VITA In-Ceram can also be used for 3- and multi-unit bridges. That means, using bridges made from VITA In-Ceram can replace a missing tooth.
These metal-free bridges are permanently biocompatible.
